eLOCK Face – high-security through biometrics

Highly sensitive areas within a building such as cashier's or till areas, server rooms or research departments, need to comply with the highest security standards and are protected by highly secure closure systems. These requirements also apply to the locking systems, which perform the authorization check. eLOCK Face solves this by enhancing classic security solutions to include evaluation of the user's biometric features. An authorised identifier is only granted access if it is used by the correct person.

How it works

The user is identified by simply holding their authorised identifier in front of the door module's antenna. The central control of eLOCK Face then sends the release signal to the closure system to be controlled.

The authorisation check applies the verification principle: The identifier's authorisations are checked first, the camera then registers and evaluates the user's face. Access is only granted if the face "matches" the identifier. The authorisation check itself and storage of the allowable combinations of identifier and face take place in the central control on the protected inside.

The door modules have an LCD screen for visual control of the registered face area and for communication with the user. In addition, availability, access attempts and system messages are signalled by red, green or blue light signals in a light circuit.
