iF Gold Award 2022: HEWI LifeSystem awarded
132 international design experts from the iF Design Award 2022 jury have honored outstanding design achievements with the highest recognition: the iF Gold Award 2022. This award recognizes the best submissions of the year. Only 73 out of almost 11,000 submissions received the iF Gold Award 2022 and were able to convince the expert jury with their outstanding designs. The HEWI LifeSystem Redesign recently received this award.
HEWI LifeSystem Redesign
HEWI LifeSystem is the system for care. It focuses on people and their needs and promotes the independence of the users. The products from the intelligently, aesthetically designed system can be individually adapted to the body dimensions of the user and were developed according to ergonomic and kinesthetic aspects.
Together, the individual products create an intelligent and aesthetically designed system. The redesign offers new interfaces and extended functions and thus supports the nursing staff in their daily work.
The jury’s verdict is as follows:
Life System is part of a mission to de-stigmatize aging and disability, and to support independent and inclusive wellbeing. It transmits a sense of security and comfort through its carefully selected proportions, geometry, materials, and colors. This design will help elderly and disabled people to stay at home for as long as possible.
