The row washbasin from HEWI was awarded the “German Innovation Award – Winner 2022” in the category “Excellence in Business to Business – Building & Elements”.

Row washbasin from HEWI

The HEWI row washbasins with three or four places invite children to wash their hands with their cheerful colors. The built-in height and depth gradation adapts perfectly to the children's anatomy. Rounded corners and edges protect them from impacts and support good accessibility to the fittings. An integrated baffle disc invites playful exploration of the element of water. Moreover, the washbasins are easy to clean and hygienic. Even acrylic and finger paints can be removed from the non-porous surface without leaving any residue.

The competition

The German Innovation Award is offered by the German Design Council. It honors products, solutions, and services across all industries. After all, innovations that shape the future and improve lives exist in all industries. In this way, it makes outstanding achievements and innovations visible to a wide audience. The important thing here is that the submissions make life more beneficial and pave the way for a better future. Award-winning solutions are characterized by their added value compared to previous products as well as their focus on users.

The jury of the German Innovation Awards is made up of experts from industry, science, institutions, and the financial sector. Submissions are evaluated based on three criteria: level of innovation, user benefits, and economic efficiency.
