Five decades design icon - the System 111

The classic product turns 50

In 1969 it was not only Neil Armstrong that too a small step that changed the world. In the same year Rudolf Wilke developed a lever handle for the Marburg University that aimed to revolutionise the hardware field. System 111 brought colour into the door. Since then, the System 111 has become a true classic in architecture. The style of System 111 is subtle classic which makes its highly versatile. This is precisely why System 111 became a design icon that is still making its mark on our surroundings today 50 years after it was launched. I would like to invite you to participate in the competition 'The 111 and I' and take a personal look at the System 111 and tell us your thoughts.

Hadi Teherani

Range 270

Serie 270 is architecture in miniature The hardware series was designed by Hadi Teherani. The geometric style reflects the architecture he has designed. The clear lines create a ergonomic form. Fine details, like the joints between the start of the lever handle and the handle are perfectly balanced to the greatly reduced mini rose. Matt-sanded stainless steel underscores the classic design and architectural standard.
