Architects' Darling Award 2025: HEWI sweeps bronze in the "Best advert" category

HEWI was honoured with bronze in the "Best Advertisement" category at the Architects' Darling Award 2025 for the campaign for the Barbie™ × HEWI collection.

The award is one of the most important barometers in the architecture and construction industry in Germany and reflects the appreciation that manufacturers receive for their brand communication and visibility in the market.

With the award, the jury recognises the creative and communicative quality of an advertisement that specifically focuses on emotionality, inclusion and addressing target groups – and thus provides new impetus in the industry.

Award-winning campaign: Barbie™ × HEWI

Timeless Bauhaus design meets the iconic colours of Barbie: The Barbie™ × HEWI collection combines functionality, inclusion and style in almost 40 products. The characteristic pink becomes a symbol of self-confidence, diversity and optimism.

The collection stands for universal design and destigmatises aids through design quality. It conveys an attitude that emphasises independence, inspiration and appreciation of the uniqueness of every person. It shows how design overcomes boundaries and allows new creative freedom - Design with Limitless Possibilities.

For its strong visual language and the consistent communicative implementation of the themes of inclusion, diversity and design quality, the campaign for the Barbie™ × HEWI collection was awarded bronze in the "Best Advertisement" category at the Architects' Darling Award 2025.

The Architects' Darling Award: Voices from the industry

The Architects' Darling Award is presented annually by Heinze and is regarded as one of the most important barometers of opinion in the construction industry. Over 40,000 architecture and planning firms in Germany are invited to take part in a large-scale hybrid survey.

In addition to this quantitative survey, specialised expert juries also evaluate specific communication measures – including websites, advertisements, brochures and films. The result is a unique combination of market resonance and expert assessment.

The award in the "Best Advertisement" category thus not only recognises design excellence, but also targeted brand communication that has a convincing effect on architects, planners and decision-makers.
