Demographic change has long had Germany firmly in its grip. The number of younger people is falling, while the number of older people is rising. Every second person in Germany is older than 45, every fifth person older than 66.

Older people have special needs. They want to live independently in their own home for as long as possible. Many people are put off moving into a care home for fear of not feeling comfortable there. It is therefore important to develop products and innovations that maintain people's independence for as long as possible.

The S 50 modules from HEWI do just that: The height-adjustable toilet and the height-adjustable washbasin enable all users in a bathroom to use the toilet comfortably and to wash themselves comfortably at the washbasin. The S 50 is not only suitable for older people, but also for people who are dependent on a wheelchair.

The height-adjustable S 50 modules are particularly interesting for the home area , but are also used in high-quality commercial buildings - i.e. in the semi-public area. With the option of fitting two folding support handles, the height-adjustable WC can even be realised as a barrier-free WC. Users benefit from the functions integrated in S 50 - the design takes centre stage here. The flat product design is a visual eye-catcher in any bathroom.

The S 50 is a system in which all components are perfectly harmonised. HEWI washbasins offer a wide variety of models. It is possible to fit a flush-mounted siphon. Premium WC functions can also be retrofitted by external companies. This means that S 50 fulfils the high demands of users.

The advantages of S 50

The advantages of S 50 are obvious: While the height-adjustable toilet replaces a raised toilet, for example, the height-adjustable washbasin module can be used comfortably while seated. This makes hygienic personal hygiene possible without much effort. Naturally, the washbasin and WC module can also be used by wheelchair users.

The S 50 is child's play to operate

Accessible convenience at the touch of a button: The height-adjustable washbasin and WC modules are electronically infinitely adjustable. The modules are driven by a motor and can be conveniently adjusted to the desired height by radio remote control.

S 50 - height-adjustable WC

The height of the S 50 WC module can be adjusted by up to 15 cm. This makes it very suitable as a stand-up aid. Flush actuation is either sensor-controlled - and therefore contactless - or via a manual flush plate.

Users can adjust the S 50 washbasin module continuously by 30 cm. The entire module moves so that the mirror is not covered by the washbasin. The integrated mirror is available either unlit or with LED lighting.

Barrier-free comfort at the WC

S 50 offers integrated folding support rails

The WC module can be optionally supplemented with folding support rails . These can be mounted either to the right or left of the WC or on both sides. Retrofitting is also possible. All HEWI folding support handles can be combined with the S 50 WC module. The folding support rails can be installed in such a way that a standard-compliant bathroom can be fitted.
