German Brand Award 2026: Double recognition for HEWI

HEWI was recently honoured with the German Brand Award 2026 in two categories. Awards were presented both for the HEWI brand itself in the “Excellent Brands – Heating & Bathroom” category and for the campaign for the unique Barbie™ × HEWI collection, which was honoured in the “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation – Brand Communication – Classic Campaign” category.

The German Brand Award is one of the most established awards for brand management in the German-speaking world. It recognises companies and campaigns that stand out in the market through consistent branding and clear communication.

Award-winning campaign: Barbie™ × HEWI

Timeless Bauhaus design meets the iconic colours of Barbie: The Barbie™ × HEWI collection combines functionality, inclusion and style across almost 40 accessibility sanitary products. Pink is used in it as a symbol of self-confidence, diversity and optimism. 

The collection represents design for all and de-stigmatises aids through design quality. It conveys an attitude that emphasises independence and the appreciation of the uniqueness of every person. It shows how design overcomes boundaries and generates new creative freedom – Design with limitless possibilities. 

For its strong visual language and consistent implementation of the themes of inclusion and design quality, the campaign for the Barbie™ × HEWI collection was crowned the German Brand Award 2026—Winner in the category “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation—Brand Communication—Classic Campaign”.

The award-winning brand: Design Comfort Care

The HEWI brand is characterised by a design that follows in the tradition of the Bauhaus philosophy: a reduced style, a deliberate use of colour, and a clear focus on functional requirements.

Since its founding in 1929, HEWI has evolved into a provider that brings together a variety of product solutions in the context of architecture and usage, while also taking accessibility requirements into account.
