Where should disinfectant dispensers be placed? - Three example areas

Awareness of hand disinfection has increased significantly over the past year.* It has long since become more of an issue not only in the field of care, but also in people's everyday lives: When entering supermarkets, at the ticket machine, in the bank or in the elevator. In our article we show you where disinfection dispensers are useful and which solutions are available in the respective area.

Entrance halls, reception desks, classrooms or even fashion boutiques - different disinfection dispenser models are required everywhere for the respective circumstances. Sometimes they stand freely in the room, other times on the table and then again they are attached to the wall. In the following article, we present three dispenser models and their possible areas of application.

  1. Gastronomy and retail - stand models

  2. Small rooms and care - wall models

  3. Entrance areas and lobbies - Columns

Who doesn't know it? Quickly disinfecting your hands in the restaurant, looking for the nearest dispenser after paying at the petrol station or using disinfectant at the reception desk. The areas of application for disinfectant dispensers are versatile. With the floor-standing model from the System 900, HEWI offers a puristic design that is skilfully restrained but still sets accents. The design line in stainless steel and powder-coated surfaces with a deep matt finish in white, grey tones or black offers design options and enables hygiene measures to be implemented aesthetically on tables, counters and at the reception. The sensor dispenser can be used without contact and dispenses the disinfectant as a spray.

This enables a pleasant and even distribution on the skin. The mechanism and drip tray are integrated into the body of the dispenser and are self-contained. The dispenser can be placed wherever it is needed. If required, it can also be firmly screwed to the respective base. The base plate is designed in the respective dispenser colour and provides a secure stand and thus smooth removal. Stand models are also ideal for temporary use. This means that the location and area of use can be changed flexibly. In the catering industry, counters and reception desks are particularly suitable for placing the dispenser well and stylishly. Small tables in the cloakroom area also offer space for hand disinfection. In the retail trade, the fixed installation of the stand model on bar tables and display stands protects against theft and calls for hygiene at presentable locations.

2. small rooms, lifts, care - why should wall dispensers be fitted?

Whether sensor-controlled or manual - wall models are space-saving and easy to reach. They can be mounted on walls and pillars in the entrance or in front of and inside objects such as lifts. Due to the flexibility in mounting, they can be placed at different heights so that they are accessible to all users. The manual dispensers (System 900 and Range 950) have a long operating lever that can be operated via the elbow. This offers extra hygiene. These dispensers are particularly suitable for care. Placed in the hospital corridor or in the patient's room, they enable quick disinfection and easier cleaning of the area below the dispenser. The sensor-controlled alternatives are particularly suitable for (semi-) public and highly frequented areas. Their touch-free use prevents the transmission of germs and is therefore particularly hygienic. The illuminated dispensing area indicates the dispensing of the product and enables intuitive use of the dispenser. Particularly in care, things often have to move quickly and dispensers that are unfixed or in the way would make work more difficult. Wall-mounted models offer space and withstand quick movements. For this reason, the puristic disinfection dispenser from HEWI should also be installed in and in front of lifts and in all other small and confined spaces - where hand disinfection is important.

Entrance areas and lobbies are often large rooms where disinfection dispensers on the wall are difficult to find. Visible and mobile dispenser columns are the solution here. The disinfectant dispenser column from HEWI meets the special requirements for these public and highly frequented areas. It offers design options and enables aesthetic implementation of hand disinfection in entrance areas and lobbies of healthcare buildings, public buildings as well as the catering and hotel sectors. The stationary solution is available in manual and sensor-controlled versions, each with a drip tray to prevent liquid from collecting on the floor. Due to its mobility, the column provides infection control where you need it. The sensor system detects the hand movement and dispenses the preset amount of disinfectant. Due to the dosage, only the amount actually needed is dispensed. This saves resources and prevents heavy dripping and overflowing of the liquid.

Due to its mobility and height, the disinfectant dispenser should be placed in a prominent position at the entrance to lobbies. Here, it makes a perfect first impression and enables quick disinfection.

Overall, the question of the optimum installation of disinfectant dispensers is an essential one. HEWI therefore offers different solutions for the various areas that make dispensing as convenient as possible in every situation. Their puristic design blends perfectly into existing room concepts or sets accents.
